Today I noticed 3 of my RTB's and a BP have a abnormally bulging eyes. Their eyes literally look bug eyed and stand out. I asked my fiance to take a look to make sure I'm not just imaging something when I first noticed it on the 3 RTB's. She agreed they did look bug eyed and said to look at the BP and see how his looked and sure enough...same thing.
The only common denominator we can think of is that they all went for a swim in the bathtub last night. This is a weekly ritual I perform with them in warm water so that they deficate (crap) in the tub versus in their cages (as much as possible anyway). Last night they may have swam a bit longer in the "crappy" water than usual. We also considered maybe there was something in the tub that irritated their eyes such as shampoo but I did rinse it out with scalding hot water first like I always do. They don't appear to be acting any differently and in fact (on a positive note), one of my RTB's ate probably quicker than she ever has tonight with her bug eyes.
Anyone ever had this happen to their snakes? Any suggestions on what it could be from and advice?
