      Default Arctic Mice

Okay, so today I went to PetSmart to pickup some supplies, including frozen feeders. Usually I go to PetCo to get frozen mice/rats which are by Gourmet Rodent, but I decided to try something different this time.

The frozen rodents at PetSmart go by "Arctic Mice" and come in all sizes (save rats which seem to only come in "small", at least at my local shop). Each pack costs $10.99 which is steep, but I don't order bulk online because I only have 3 snakes currently. And my only source of available rodents is the freezer section of my local pet department, lol.

I bought 1 pack of Pinky Mice (6), 1 Pack of Fuzzy Mice (6), and 1 Pack of Small Rats (2). Total was about $35, $10.99 each.

Here are some pictures of the Arctic Mice, hopefully this helps some people so they know what to expect if they ever decide to buy Arctic Mice brand:

      RATS:

      FUZZY MICE:

      Weight:

      PINKY MICE:

(No weight, scale wouldn't register them individually).

The Fuzzies are covered in blood, which is gross.

This was my second time in this PetSmart as it is newly built. They have quite a few reptile things, including Hooks, feeding tongs, and cheap thermostats. They also had "Repti Heat Cable" (23 feet) on sale for $16.99 which I bought.

Yeah I know. I was thinking one of these weeks I could just spend $100 for an online order, but it just seems like a lot. Especially considering %50 of the price is for shipping.

I always try to keep an eye out locally, but I haven't had such luck. There was a pet store down the street from me up until a year ago where I could get mice dirt cheap, but they went out of business.

If you don't find anyone on craigslist you can always post asking for some on there and probably have some luck.

I only bought frozen feeders from the pet store here once and it cost me $12.99 for 12 pinky mice ... yep MICE!!!

I spent $26~ on mice pinks before I decided to just breed them myself. Can't say I don't blame you for buying online... shipping sucks bad on those unless you can split it with a few buddies..

Not sure why there's so much blood on there unless they bashed them to death which would be highly inefficent for such a large supplier of rodents.
