God, he looks like a burn victem. That is so upsetting to see.

You didn't have to pay for him, did you?

I absolutly paid for the Boa, and he was caged with 3 small ball ptyhons.i WENT AND TALKED WITH A vet yesterday and they will NOT under no cucumstances see my snake. They have no idea where i can take him. However they did say that they would get me any medication i needed for the snake. She's seems more active now, shedding should only be days away.I love the boa so much...As far as the Pet store its closing down in like a month. Thanks for the advice.Oh yeah, i have been soaking her in the tub, she really enjoys it.As far as breathing, she cant use her nose she has to breathe through her mouth. When i find out whats wrong with my camera i will post more pics of her.

You may have to drive a bit but that snake HAS to see a vet. You would be doing him a huge disservice thinking you can treat all that at home. Unfortunately we are dealing with a type of animal that can't just go see any ole vet down the street, you have to go to one that specializes in exotic species, especially reptiles. I have two people in Tallahassee that you may want to contact. They may or may not be vets because you don't have to be a vet to be an ARAV member, but I'm sure they could point you in the right direction. Go to this site, http://www.arav.org/ECOMARAV/timssne...t_mdsearch.cfm and type in Tallahassee, FL or any other big city near you and see what you can find.

I hate so see boas in that condition, definitely get it to a vet as soon as possible, and until then make sure the cage has the correct humidity, temperature and that there are no sharp edges. My guess is that the boa was in a small cage with no humidity, likely bulb heated and possibly burned itself somehow. I wish you luck, my thoughts are certainly with you and your snake. that pet shop should be closed.

It looks like you are doing well soaking the boa too, It would be helpful to rum neosporine on the woulds until you can get it to the vet. When was the last meal?

Still has a bit more to shed, but she is beautiful..With some antibiotics for the top gum, shes going to be a-okay!She is eating and very active! She has a small amount of blindness in one eye , but it's possible it will get better due to the thick covering over the eyes befor she shed. Thanks everyone have a great day!!!!
