Default radient heat question

My top and sides are glass. If I use a raient heat panel, can I attach it to the side wall with double sided tape? ...and would that be effective in conjunction with flexwatt? Would that be safe for the snake?

I'm not sure how well it would work on the side wall. But you could definently attach it with double sided tape. I use it to hold my flourescent lights up and it works well. You could always wait until you get your flexwatt working and see if heats enough. Although it is summer time so a the real test wont be for a while.

My lights have never fell even in high humidity. RHPs dont weigh much at all so if it did fall it probably wouldn't harm the snake but I don't know for sure.

I know after speaking to Frank from Cold blooded novelties that the heat panels he sells are designed to be used overhead and that if you use them on the floor or side they may malfunction. He told me once that the only malfunctions that he has seen from the Reptile Basic heat panels were due to them being mounted this way. I would suggest speaking to the manufacturer of the specific panel you are looking at buying.
