Default Small Shedding Problem

My young Boa shed about a week and a half ago mabye more. All the skin came off but there is still a small piece on the tip of his tail. Its about an inch long and goes all the way around. Ive soaked him etc for as long as he will tolerate it a few times and it still hangs on. I cant roll it off when its wet either.

Any suggestions???

Thanks,

It'll come off next shed,I wouldn't get too worried about it.That's just my opinion. No need to stress the snake out.Lar M

I agree with Lar. More than likely it will come off with next shed. When you notice your snake going into shed next time, mist him down more frequently. This will raise the humidity and aid in him having a good shed. If this starts becoming a normal problem where every shed the skin doesn't come off the tip of his tail and it starts building up, then there is a problem. Good Luck!

Yes! Misting is a quick and sucessful way of helping your boa shed! I mist mine about once every 3-4 hours (not when I'm sleeping!) and it always provides a clean, full shed! Although I tone it down quite frequently after his eyes turn to normal again, then I maybe do it once a day.

If it's really bugging you, you can gently use your nail and try to help him get it off. But if it's a stubborn little piece of skin, just leave it and wait until the next shed.
