I am a lost cause.
June 27, 2009 marks 109 days from the POS of the next female due to have a mess of little guys and gals along with a quart or so of baby Boa goo.
One time when I was explaining to my daughter that she was a geek, she exclaimed to me "the apple doesn't far from the tree!" That was classic and I suppose a post such as this is just further proof that in fact I am up a tree about to fall off my rocker. Not that I hadn't already lost my nut. Do walnuts grow on trees?
Today is 320 days since my last litter was born. If I take out that one litter that was born 320 days ago, since it was a secret breeding and I haven't been able to show off those babies as a result, then it's actually been 376 days! That's over a year since the Phile has been able to show any fresh goo!
I am... in a word... undone.

Re: I am a lost cause.
Jeff, we can't wait to see these new litters either. When we see a post by you that has pictures in it, we get excited like kids on Christmas. LOL.
You make some of the most amazing animals that we get to see, and it is so awesome that we are able to share in the excitement with you.
We will be here waiting as long as it takes to see those babies in goo again.
That picture is out of this world Jeff!!!
Thanks

Re: I am a lost cause.
Hey Jeff ... seems to be a kinda weird/off year for a lot of breeders ... which as you talk with a lot more than I, you proly have talked about already. I blame my hit and miss year on myself ... but others I have talked with just cannot put a finger on why they had an off year. I m just gonna blame it on global warming ... yeah, that's the ticket (lol).
Hope you have a great rest of the year!

That's a beautiful little boa. Is it one that will give birth soon???
Anyway.....
Yeah,...
Without, at least, "teaser photos"..... You really can't count that last litter.
Now I really feel bad for you. You have soooooo may beautiful boas and not one has popped in over a YEAR!!!
Hopefully, those gooey babies will be here soon.
On a side note.....
I also feel sorry for that plant your snake is "hugging". That can't be good for that little "greenling". Can't you feel it's pain????

Re: I am a lost cause.
First, thank you everyone for your kind words. The picture is of a Boa that I obtained as a baby in about 1993 or 1994. I never did breed her though I had many a male try from the time she was about 5 1/2' long till I lost her a few years ago. Sometimes I almost think I tried too hard to breed her. I posted this picture back in 1998 or 1999 and Jeremy Stone thought she was a Hypo Motley. I wish Hypo Motleys kept their pattern like that, but they don't. She looks like she could be the sister of this buy below:
Maybe when I get some Hypo babies produced using this guy, maybe then I'll get some Hypos with pattern like that. Time will tell...
No goo yet Larry. She is all over the place today though. I have a video camera running on the cage just in case she does start something. It will most likely be in the middle of the night tonight. I can wait. I have been waiting quite a while and a few more days aren't going to kill me. At least I don't think days can kill anyone anyhow, can they? LOL
