[Housing] New BP not using hides

Hello,

making this thread about a new Ball Pythin i recently acquired i got it an enclosure size 36x18x18 have 2 identical hides on each side hot and cold side, but my new ball does not seem to like to use hides it mainly stays ontop or behind the hides which isnt a problem for me as i see it more but just wanted to make sure it didn't mean she wasn't uncomfortable or something.... the hides are a little big for its current size so i tried putting some peat moss inside so it would be a bit more snug and tried to show it the hide but it just went in briefly then came back on and went right behind the hide again... just posting this as i am not an expert by any means and looking to see if its not a problem or if there is something i am doing in correct.

I don't believe it's an issue. My baby red tail doesn't really like going on his hide. He likes sleeping on it more often lol. If your snake is comfortable outside his hide, it's okay. If he wants to be in it, he'll know where to go. I wouldn't worry. Although, I would ask what the ambient temp of your tank is? That looks like 98, but I'm not sure.

its 90 right under the heat lamp, i thought the same thing to when i took the pic then i looked at it and it was 90 lol
