  • cross-breeding ?

i gotta a question about cross-breeding.i was wondering if you can cross breed a rtb w/ a green tree boa ? i saw a green tree baby female at a pet shop that i been poking around to find my next snake(s) at. i know green trees are moody .just wondering if they can cross breed and make green tailed boa's ;D ;D s7.gif
or what would the babies look like ? or can you even cross breed a tree boa ?

My response to this question would have to be no. I have never heard of anyone doing this. Now I do of breeders cross breeding BCC with BCI.

      Hi Gun Lover,

Have to agree with Tatdaddy. I have never heard of those two being bred. I don't think it would be possible. From what I know about tree snakes is that they breed in the branches. A bit different from the way a ground boa breeds..

      Hope that helps.

ok thanks.i know it kinda sounded like a stupid question but was wondering..found a 3 yr old female tree boa they had at a pet shop near me.if she wasn't almost 400 bucks i would have gotten her today.i been hunting for a boa but iam looking at the pastel ( hoping thats the right name ) just love the tanish/golden colors of them.only able to find what looks like hogg island at petco, and tree boa's.but iam moving to the dallas/fort worth area in about a month so i might hold off till then since there is a bigger market area there. thanks for the info.

actually my mom lives in the dallas ft worht area and all the pet stores are not allowed to sell reptiles because of the city ordinaces. now i think some of the suburbs may be able to but i know i called the petco in lewisville and the one in denton looking for snakes and they didnt carry them and i was told by the reptile manager at the one in longview tx it was because that area has a exotic/reptile pet ordinance. supposedly you cant sell reptiles in the city limits and i dont think your allowed to own them either not sure about the owning part
