What is the average number of babies born at a time for red tails? I know it varies but I am just trying to get an idea.

1st off welcome to RTB,good to have ya here.
As far as your ? It does vary and it's kinda of hard to say.
I would say 0-40, u could slug out or you could have a fantastic litter. Normally I see post of people sharing there litters being any where from 10-30 on average 10 being the low end and 30 starting to get up there.

Atrayu hit it on the head. Alot has to do with the care you provide for a gravid boa. You have come to a place that hosts THE most reputable and successful breeders in the market and they have more knowledge than most of could possibly make sense of. Check out the care manual, it covers alot and then ask questions from there. Welcome

A lot depends on the size and health of both of the boas involved. An 8-9 foot muscular female is going to produce more young than a 6-7 foot skinnier female, all else being equal. Also, a more slender male tends to be a more active breeder, producing more young. You could also slug out and have 0
