lump? or juices

ok so ive just gotten my third boa a 7ft boa its suppose to be a female and her tail sure does look like it compared to my boy but she has a lump. idk what it is should i even be concerned, or is it a male and those are just juices ive heard of? on a sidenote thats the third adult boa that ive gotten as an unwanted pet two females for 60 bucks from a local rescue thats awesome.btw i dropped my camera in water so its gone all i have left is my iphone sorry for the poor pics gotta make do.

yow! i dont know what that is? im sure someone on here has seen something like this before, but I would be taking him/her to the vet. At least for a check up (being a rescue). other than the lump, nice looking snake!

That's not male fluids. That's a lump. Since it's in a sensitive area, it would require a vet to diagnose exactly what it is.

I've never seen a lump in that area before, but I've heard of males getting infected heimpenes(spelling??)

BTW How long has she/he had that lump?

Is it squishy to the touch or real hard? I don't really know much about what it could be but if it's kind of squishy it could be some kind of abscess or something.

Does anyone know if it looks like someone probed the snake wrong and this is the end result? I've heard it can tear tissues and such if not done properly.

Wouldn't be able to tell you it's a rescue I'll check with the care giver before me and hopefully get some info on it.

that's what I thought or like an anal gland issue something like that vet can't see Me till Friday so I'm a little panicy like always it feels one sides more to the right than the left seems to be hard doesn't give way like a abcess or hard like a cyst feels like a swollen lymph node on the plus side she ate

that kinda looks like a probe-gone-bad thing, but who knows for sure until she goes to the vet

its an infection... thats what the blood work showed gonna have to lance it and drain all the nasty stuff! i guess this rarely happens but i found a couple threads on here with the same issue. glade my boss can do it and dont have to pay for a specialist.

Yeah it kind of looked like one, but that should be easy to get rid of ecspecially since you're having it drained soon. Will just need some anti-botics to give it the kick in the butt after draining.

I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD THREAD BUT I FINALLY RESOLVED THE PROBLEM AFTER ALMOST A YEAR. ITS A ABSCESSED ANAL GLAND IT HAPPENS ONCE IN A BLUE MOON BUT WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN ITS A REA-CURING PROBLEM. AND THE ONLY CURE IS TO REMOVE IT I FOUND A REALLY COOL DR. THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE AND HE HAD DEALT WITH THIS KINDA ISSUE BEFORE. HE REMOVED BOTH GLANDS AND AFTER THREE MONTHS SHE IS DOING FANTASTICALLY. SO CASE CLOSED! WOOOOOOOOO!

It was just one of those things that no body knew the answer to and finally found a guy who know what was going on and ive seen several threads with the same exact deal and not a lot of people know what causes the lump.
