  • What is breeding weight for a red tail?

Just wondering what breeding weight is for a red tail boa? A jungle carpet python? A ball python? I'm wondering about both male and female. Thanks for any info you have, I really appreciate it.

Rule of thumb usually ( for Colombian type Boas) 10-12 Lbs and

    about 2 1/2 to 3 years old

    4 years old is better

Most often age does matter under 2 yrs old is probably very doubtful for success !

age is important... you can powerfeed a boa to 10 lbs in under 2 years but that doesn't mean you should try to breed it... give the snake the time to grow PROPERLY before you breed it

For boas normally is 3 years 15 pounds for a female, and a male is generally 2 years not really sure about their weight.
