How do we know how old the red tail boas are?

How do we know the ge of snakes ? We have male and female red tail boa they are about 3 ft. long how do we tell the age and when they are ready to have babies?
Do we have to do anything special for breeding and were do u get a breeding permit?

Well there is no exact way of telling how old boas are if records arnt kept of them.

As for breeding age is not as much of a factor as size and mature muscle mass. Your female will have to be big enough to go off of feed for a few months and still be healthy.

There is a way to find out by a dna sample... I don't know how it work's.. I really don't care how old my boas are... Just ask your vet about the dna thing... Mine said it was easy but costly...
