Clay it is a male. If you want to see a pic got to the
snakes that Clay has for sale. It is BCIM515-06.
So my ? is. If I were to use this male as a breeder
what type of traites should I look for in a female,
and would the age matter between the two? s25.gif

    Re: does age matter?

Well the male you purchased is a beauty and has pastel blood in him, and you can see the pastel attributes in him. If you can find either another pastel female, or a light colored female, then the offspring will be amazing.

Age of the boas does matter, because the female will need to be 2 1/2 to 3 years old to properly breed, while a male can breed as early as 1 1/2 years old and 3 1/2 feet.

Age is not as important as size. The female should be quite a bit larger than the male.
To gain knowledge is good, but to share knowledge is wise

What about age difference between the boas? Would it matter if one was a few years older or younger than the other boa?

As long as they are mature and proper size than the two boa can be different ages.

A 6 year old 5 foot male can breed a 4 year old 7 foot female. Big males are to rough on the female and will court her much longer.
