  • Breeding Questions

I'm looking into starting to breed boas in the next couple of years. I currently have a male Motley and a female ghost ( supposedly a Super Ghost but we shall see). What would be a couple other morphs to look into getting? At least two more females and one more male. Still trying to learn the genetics so please bear with me.

Folks could give you their recommendations all day long, but what will really matter in the long run is what you decide to go for project wise.

Best thing to do - continue you research and further your understanding of morphs/genetics. Pick a project you really like and go for it

that makes sense. I am starting to look purchasing a Hypo Jungle, the coloring looks awesome and it could be interesting when mixed with a Motley. Just not sure about what to do with the ghost

Well I picked up a Hypo Jungle Het T+ female this weekend. I will have pictures in a few days. She is amazing looking and will do great with the Motley Male down the road, but I'm still looking into the next male to pair with the Ghost down the road. We also picked up a Platinum Het Albino female retic, which I may try to breed with our tiger, but that's an entirely different situation that I'm currently not ready for.

Really tough, I followed what was most popular at first, but now I look around and find what I like most. So my suggestion is to browse around and look at what you like most and make the very very very best version of those as you can, or make the very best of those genes and take them to another gene you really like. Its all about working with what you love!
