the reason i'm thinking it looks so similar to the KW is that it is NOT speckled like a *majority* of arabs are, it has thicker saddle connectors on the dorsal/lateral edge, and doesn't have the typical "jungle" looking head pattern. i'm sure jeff has more identifiers he looks for (since he is currently the one and only expert on the KW morph), so let's wait and see
I agree it does not look like an Arabesque much to me.
Several very important questions about this animal is this:
What year was it born?
Where did it come from?
Did the seller tell you it was an Arabesque Boa?
Who is or was the seller?
I wonder how reliable the seller was.
Have you bred it ever?
If yes, what did you get?
The Boa below was sold to the guy I bought it from as an Arabesque Boa which clearly it is not:
So people's word is not very reliable unless they really are reliable people.
The answers to the questions above will be informative, but regardless, the answer you really need will most likely be in the offspring that that animal produces. That is what really matters most.
Call me if you like. I will be happy to talk you through what I think about it if you would rather do that off the web. I won't try to twist your arm to try to buy the animal and will offer the best advice about it for you that I can.
You guys are like CSI!!! Already tracked down baby pics!!
Yea. I am an internet detective! But do you know how many people there are in Rhode Island with your last name!? I would have called you already but I haven't found that number yet. LOL
As soon as you made this post I was looking through the photos that Zach had taken of his babies years ago. Then I picked up the phone to call Zach and he said he was just picking up the phone and scrolling through to find my number when the phone rang with me on the other line. Well in short order we found your Boa and immediately decided to do the right thing which is to let you know EXACTLY what you have. Most breeders would likely keep their mouths shut forcing you prove it out. But Zach and I are two of the "good guys" who do the right thing.
You have a sibling to my Key West Boa. Zach sold it as a male. We are not sure that it is a male though. You are not the guy who bought it from Zach because you have a different name and your too old. LOL It was not born with any kink. That is the result of an injury of some sort and not genetic.
It's a great day isn't it David?!
Please call me so I can talk to you about your find.
