is there anyone out there actively breeding these and consistently producing good specimens ? I may like to purchase a male in the future and let Niobe and him mate and see what kinda babies I'd get.

as far as i know, it hasn't proven to be a genetic trait. i could be wrong on that, though...

darn! none of the good morphs seem to be reproducable!

Like, I really would kill to own a blue eyed leucistic RTB but theres only 2 in exisistence and they are under government protection in brazil.

i won't even begin to start listing the 'good morphs' that are reproduceable

and i would imagine the lucys are indeed genetic, it's just a matter of getting them

Gus Rentfro at RiobravoReptiles has been breeding the CBLTs for sometime now and has proven them out many of times...i should know i have some of them and have seen them with my own eyes and BOY LET ME TELL YOU...they ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!

these are the ones i got from his CBLT litter...niether have the laddertail and only two have the CircleBack...but that was because, the two on top were chosen for the stripes and the bottom one was sort of a gift from Gus. BUT the brothers and sisters to these are WOW!!! TRUST me on this! I would shoot him an email at his website...do NOT PM him here..he doesn't like to conduct business here.

                  Re: Circleback Laddertails

Tim Koppenhofer of Special K reptiles also breeds CBLTs which are genetic. According to him, when he breeds 2 CBLTs together, about 2/3 of the babies are CBLT. When he breeds a CBLT to a normal, 1/3 of the babies get the trait. I have seen his adults and their resulting babies on multiple occasions, I believe his line is co-dom. I bought a male Kahl albino CBLT het snow from him a couple months ago which I will be picking up saturday (along with some rats for Chris). I'll post pics when I get him home. Tim doesn't have a web site but I have his contact info if you'd like it.

                    From my observations,

The South American boas seem to have reproducable CBLT's (I'm including Colombian Bci here).

But Central American CBLT's seem to be harder or less reliable to reproduce.
