Hi I am new to this forum but it looks like I will enjoy it greatly. My question concerns what type of boa morph I own. She was given to me by a freind at two weeks of age and I was told she was a columbian imperator (both of her parents appear as normal columbians) but now that she is around eight months old I am slightly confused. With each shed she has begun to turn pink ventraly and around her face. Instead of her gray areas darkening to brown the are turning a light shade of lavender. Dorsaly she is becoming very light tan. Her belly is speckled moderatly with black and some gray makings and with each shed has begun to take on an orange to pink shade. She has a very brick red/orange tail with cream and white borders. Her saddle count fits with normal imperitors but I was wondering if she may be a crossbred? (some saddles have slight widows peaks). Or is she just an abnormaly colored specimen as she does not resemble her parents at all. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Sorry I do not have any pictures. ???

Re: What type of boa do I have?
So this kind of color is normal? I just thought it was weird because both of her parents were very dark brown with some greenish undertones and had no real red/orange tail markings. If it's normal however thats good to know. thanks!!
P.S. Will this trend towards pink and lavender coloration continue with each shed, or will it fade with time and age? s12.gif

Re: What type of boa do I have?
You know the pinkesh doesn`t have to disapear. It can start to grow more and more with every shed.I believe that what you have got is a boa with pastel attributes. And maybe (mostlikely not)you have a new pastel bloodline cause thats how all the morphs(almost)came up:Normal parents, but I don`t think you`re that lucky.
