• New to forum, question regarding morph

Greetings! I am new to the forum (and therefore cannot post any pics yet until my first posts are approved) and while I've had my boa Kitty for many years, I never did any research until recently regarding her (I think) specific subspecies (if that's the correct term) or "morph". As I understand it the two groups (determined mainly by location) are BCC and BCI. I have done some brief research in determining which I have, but Kitty seems to have characteristics of both...she has the coloration and temperment of a BCI, but the peaked saddles of a BCC. I'm somewhat knowledgeable in biology and zoology, but simply didn't care enough to find out the specifics regarding my own critter until recently. Any knowledgeable people out there care to give me a hand in figuring out exactly what kind of boa Kitty is?

Your name is now red, so you should have zero issues posting pics.
Here's a quick tutorial BigPaPaErnest did some time back on how to post pics.

Yay, officially a member now...

Anywho, this is Kitty from a couple different angles (and clearly she sucks at chess). If you could give a good guess as to any specifics that'd be awesome. Thanks for taking a look. (she's about 6.5 feet, generally healthy, very dark eyes (they look almost completely black), mellow, good eater). Other than the fact that she's a republican, we get along great.

Welcome to RTB!

You might consider asking your identification questions in one of the other sub-forums or even in the other picture thread you posted.

The new member section is mainly monitored by the moderator staff and is used for welcoming new members and answering general "how to" questions about the forum itself. This section does not get a lot of traffic from the rest of the members.

I had asked for more/better pictures on your other thread because the little bit that I saw made me wonder if she had some BCC influence and these pictures that you posted here make me think that she does have some. I would say that she is mostly a normal BCI but the peaked saddles make me think that there was a BCC in her lineage somewhere. Basically, she is a very pretty 'normal'.

Awesome. Thanks for your input. She is pretty, but not too smart (hence her failure at chess). Typical dumb and pretty.
