    i told a few of u that my female that is 3-4' is on large rats and i know steve asked to see pics so here is one that i caught right as she took it from me.

            i dunno if its the way the pic looks but that rat looks about the same size as the small rats i order from rodent pro and my 3-4 ft babies thake them like no tamarrow!! hehe i have pics posted of mine eating there din din somewhere on this forum lol if you wanna look at em. theya re pretty big for smalls .

                yea she never once regurged on me and the guy i got her from said that she took them that size since she was 2' lol

                  Just be careful on the size though, because too much too soon is not healthy for the boas. Yes they will grow amazingly fast, but it can also create a very short life span.

                  That rat looks too big for that boa IMHO. At least twice the size of the girth of that boa.

                  It is never a question of "can they eat that big" it is more a question of "should they eat that big".

                  It may work for you, but I would not recommend that size feeding ratio to anyone.

                  Just my 2 cents.

                    Ok Thanks for the input clay i will move her to sm/med rats i just thought i would stick with the meals she has been getting. Again thanks for the input and i will move to sm/med.

                      She is a really pretty snake though LEE. Glad to hear you are moving to smaller prey item's. You want her to live as long and healthy as possible!

                          thanks guys yes i just bought 4 small rats should i try two or just give her the one every 7 days instead of one larg rat every 10?

                            One every 7-10 days should be fine.. See how she reacts. I know she is a piggy..LOL

                              I'm not a fan of power feeding nor am I saying you are one. I agree with Clay, I have seen boa with enormous bodies and a very small head due to such. Glad you are switching her around.
