  • Picture Set-up????

I have looked at so many amazing pics on this site, and have tried to get some really good pics of my guy. This has not worked however...
They end up blurry due to movement or just don't look good...
    SO...How do I do it??
What is the easiest set-up for a great photo?
Lighting etc...my Camera is a half decent one!

I'm not the best photographer, but I have noticed that direct flashes tend to wash out a boa's colors. That, and I don't know how some of these guys (or girls) around here get their boas to sit still...

NyQuil works pretty good...HA! (just kidding) All my pics are fairly garbage but for getting them to sit still I just throw em on a fake tree in the house or somewhere else where they can move. but not too much. Generally you should expect to take quite a few bad shots for every good one though...jeeze if we were still using film I'd have to cut down to buying only one boa a month, if that! Thats just a terrifying concept...I need a minute to calm down now..lol.

That's just to keep the lighting consistent right?

I submit this actually serves a dual purpose, in that it slightly restricts the snakes movements. You now only have to wrangle from the front as opposed to all sides and the closed in aspect of it may put some snakes into a more subdued and secure mindset. I'm gettin one! Thanx MSwift.

It is actually an interesting looking set-up. I also, agree with the dual purpose.

Guess will just play a little more and see how that works out!
