Hey All ... had been getting some folks asking what was in the works this season so I thought I would just post some pics of what I have paired up and am hoping for this breeding season. There have been a few ovulations and some are still courting heavy and thickening up nicely showing pre-ovulation swells. And, then a few (females) are/have been actively courted and have just not gotten to that point yet.
Cherry salmon male x Columbian female (same pairing that produced my '08 Cherry Salmon litter):

... and her ovulation ...

Cherry Salmon female with VPI Het. T+ male:

PC Salmon female with Aby Salmon male:

50% Suriname Albino male with a 50% Guyanan het Albino female (kahl strains):

50% Guyanan het albino male with Max Line Dh Sunglow female (kahl strains)... her ovulation is noticable in body at back of cage:

Sandstone Sunglow male with Coral Albino female:

Last ... while not a good pic (was a few weeks back) this is a pairing that I am really excited for when I happens. The male has to be one of the best albinos I have ever seen (produced by Mike Weitzman). He is an '06 25% Guyanan Sharp albino. I am putting him in with my '04 Lemke Pastel Salmon (produced by Brandon Weik) that was the mother of my '08 'double-dose' pastel salmon litter. She is a genetic freak ... big solid muscles and nearly 8 ft & 30 lbs (and I am not a heavy feeder). Great color and still holding alot of contrast. The babies I kept from that '08 litter are so red and have muscle on top of muscle at just 18 months of age. So I am hoping she will add some solid gentics to what will be my own/a new line of Sharp strains. He was with her for two weeks and did not show any interest. I have pulled him for a week or two and will then reintroduce again, repeating until he is showing interest.

That is proly gonna do it (for the most part) around here this year I believe. Have my fingers crossed for good results and that my females carry through full term and deliver good healthy litters. Will be sure to keep everyone posted as soon as they start to drop in March or April through summer!
Hope those of you who are breeding this season have a great one and as always, thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the pics
