Thoughts?

I know he is a long way from breeding, but I need something to look forward to, and got to thinking about this guy today. Any thoughts on what would be good to pair him with would be greatly appreciated. I think he is one of the ugliest boas I have seen, but has some cool traits that might look good with something else added, or things taken away (I could do without the speckling for sure). I lost the one female I had this weekend due to pregnancy complications, so even if this one was ready it would be some time before I paired him up.

This guy has color add color to color for starters maybe

Maybe try to clean him up also use similar strong patterned fem

I know I know. that boy is gorgious in my eyes definatly colorful, my female is grey and light, wow that is some color. here the idea he is definatly cblt. get a cblt with the same if not more color with not one spot of pepper on her. ( to clean up the pepper) but definatly COLOR CBLT I betcha bigpapaE will like that boa. hes a cblt guy.

He is definitley not the ugliest boa that I have seen. He has just got alot going on inside of his beautiful pattern and sweet tail. I would pair him up with a strong patterned female like him and you should have some sweet baby's!!!!

Pair him with a nice Red Group or inferno.

I think he's too ugly for you to keep so you should put him back in the box and send him to me--I'll find a nice girl for him...

I would have to agree with Steve-o on this one...i would think a nice Inferno would clean that bad boy up!..and can you imagine the tails on the infernos if this boy can pass it along! NICE!!!

That would depend on what "look" you're going for. If you simply want to clean up the speckles and let the colors show through, then a Red Group or Inferno would be great.

If you want to get a better pattern and try to keep the lateral striping, then an Arabesque, Motley, or Jungle would be a good choice.

If you want to go for a cleaner boa and keep the pattern, then a Roswell Laddertail or KWB would be a good choice.

If you're looking more to add to the color he already has and get a little more pattern. Then a Aztec or Leopard might do the trick.

If all you're looking for is more color and hopefully keeping the pattern, then a Blood Boa could be a good choice.

If you just want to get wild and crazy and shoot for "something different"..... Try to find an animal that looks "similar" to what you have and see where it goes from there.

There's really not a right or wrong answer as to what to breed him too. "Any" breeding has the potential to produce something totally AMAZING or something that's not so amazing. That's the fun part about breeding boas. You pair up what you like and the potentials are "endless".

nice cblt and i agree with steve on the inferno or red group the color and pattern on that litter would be wicked i also like Lindas answer i think it all depends on what you want. If you could make some nice cblt het something pair it to maybe a nice ivory ghost so you would get some hypos in the litter, a nice clean sunglow again so you would get some hypos, or a nice hypo jungle if you could make some hypo jungles with a ladder tail that would be really nice just my .02
