hello just looking for some help i have to new boas and am new to them. I have had pythons before. Im set for my boas now to thanks to this site. Im just having some problems identifing that i have. The above pic is of a 4 month old whos parents were het albino that proved out. Im wondering if she is het as well and if she is bci like i was told. The second pic is of a yearling and he i was told is a parahet also foggy on that one but i think he is bcc? Someone please correct me if im wrong.
They are both definitely BCI -- Albino stuff and Parahet stuff are all BCI, but sometimes mixed withh BCC. There's an obvious difference when you see a BCC True Redtail. BCI's are not considered Red Tail Boas , no matter what color their tail is.
If your first Boa came from a pair of het Albinos , then yours is considered to be 66% possible het Albino . You won't know if it's a het unless you breed it . Their are two strains of Albino . They are uncompatable with each other . The most common is the Kahl strain. The other is a Sharp strain, and will almost always be sold as a Sharp strain . If your other Boa is a Parahet then it is compatable to the Sharp strain only , for making visual morphs. Parahet simply means that it is either het for Sharp Albino, or het for Boawoman Caramel .
