  • Please help with identification?

Hi there. I was hoping someone could show off their skills and help me identify this guy that I got yesterday. I think he seems a little skinny and there are a few things that I could pick at with how he may have been kept, but overall I'm very happy with him. I'm going to let him settle in a bit and then see about fattening him up some [emoji3] .

Any help at all would be appreciated (even if they are just guesses). If you'd like to see any better pictures, just let me know.

    Thanks very much in advance!

Well, its a Boa for sure. I would say it likely has some Bcc influence in it or may be all Bcc. The problem is that nobody will be able to tell you, other than the original breeder, what exactly this snake is. As for guesses as to what it is, I would not be too concerned, you could get a billion different answers, as everyone might see different characteristics. I will stick with , its a boa, its a good looking snake and congrats!

Thanks :-) ... I realize that I may never know... it's just fun to see what others think. I'm looking at breeding him or anything.... he is what he is for sure, but I like guesses and opinions as well.

Thanks very much for your reply :-) .

I have to agree aswell, as AaronZav said you will get many mixed idenities on it, I see Normal BCC but the next person who posts might see something else so your better off going with Its a Boa, thats the Best idenity to define it as..

Dont get me wrong he is a very beautiful one at that and looks pretty healthy aswell

I understand completely and I really appreciate your post. I expect and welcome different opinions :-) . For me, it was mainly is it a BCC vs BCI thing... but opinions on locality (if that's how you would word it) are great to hear. In the end, I'm not going to sell or breed him, so it's just a personal curiosity thing. If I was told it was a "plain old Columbian", it would be fine as well :-) . I Iove the look and differerences of all Boas and they amaze and captivate me. It's just a pretty rare thing (where I live) to happen upon a BCC of any kind.
