That's a gorgeous girl you have there! How long have you had her? How old is she?

Thanks! I've had her for a little over a year and she is a 2012 baby. Just haven't been on much!

The reason I was asking is to get an idea of what to expect. I just purchased my first boa a couple of weeks ago. From pictures I have seen and the age of the snakes these appear to have a much slower growth rate than the ball pythons I have. One of my female ball pythons is only a year and 4 moths old. She is over 4' long and weighs almost 1700 grams. I do not power feed! She has been on a once a week feeding since about 6 months old and eats roughly 100 gram rat per week. I don't expect this boa girl I have will grow quite as quick, but will grow larger!!

She's a beautiful girl. I'm kind of partial to hypos personally which is why I love the hypo jungle projects. Both of my favorite genes in the same animal. I'm like a kid at Willie Wonka's.

Love the orange on her tail, she looks great.

I didn't realize how slow they grow. You are right, the ball pythons grow very fast compared to this. However, these boas certainly have an appetite. I have only had mine for a little while but her feeding response is crazy.

Agree on the feeding!!! I usually offer my small bp the food first. If he refuses I know there is another snake who will eat!!!! My little Jungle garbage disposal!!!

You aren't the only one to do this, but just remember that if you have any 'new' snakes (-within a year-) or any that have possible health issues, you could be spreading whatever it is very effectively this way.
