    Can I Have an AMEN!!

    Pandora switched to F/T!

    She never knew the difference.

My Ball Python refused, but no surprise. She's 12 yrs old and even refuses fresh kill. But I left the F/T in with her anyway just in case.

Very typical...both for a boa not to care and for a BP to be fussy. AMEN! Good going! (don't give up on the BP)

Amen!!! My boa does great with f/t, but my bp that has been on f/t for the first 15 months of her life started to refuse and for 2 months now will only eat live! Fussy bp and a boa that is a garbage disposal!!!

          Congrats!

Glad to hear the conversion went well.

Don't stress about the BP. A lot of times when you leave a F/T or pre-killed prey item in overnight, it will be gone by morning.

            Thanks for the support everyone!

The rat was untouched in the BP's tank in the early next morning. So I gently reheated it with a heat gun and checked the temp with the temp gun and the Boa gladly took it.

              Re: New Convert!

Always nice to get everyone eating f/t. I'm working to switch over my bp too, always been on live mice, would like him on f/t rats like everyone else, I did get him to take and eat a ft mouse last week so that's some progress.

I wouldn't do that, by the time you got to the mouse/rat, bacteria had already started growing on it. Hopefully you are lucky and your boa won't regurge. Once you leave a prey item in overnight, you must discard it the next day.

Yup. I won't feed anything that's been un-frozen for that long. I know snakes have strong guts, but I'd rather not test that.

Congrats! Boa's are pretty easy with that conversion but it always makes things easier when you know they will take the f/t.
