New Pickups - Argentines!!!

I've been eying Ancient Reproductions FB for over a year and finally pulled the trigger on a pair of Argentines. The male is approaching 2 years old and his sire and dam are both 20 years old!!! I believe they were imports so he's first gen but I may have that wrong, they may have been 1st gen making him second. The female is from a Max high pink line in 2014. The pictures are terrible because the male refused to sit still, lol.

Given how many exist in captivity they're not in too much danger of going extinct. Their environment is definitely threatened, I think it's something like 90% of their original habitat has been destroyed in the last century. But enough of them exist in captivity that if they ever do truly go extinct in the wild they can be re-introduced. Their are plenty of species that are already functionally extinct because too few of them exist in the wild and captivity to ever be re-introduced to the wild [emoji23]
