What a bummer! The rep shop I purchased the male from rang today to confirm delivery, and had discoverd that out of 16 imports, he had 16 females, I am feeling like giveing up trying to find her a mate, I looked for a year then found these, I dont know why thay are so rare in the UK everyone seems to have them in the states! ??? ???

Doug, no idea exactly how old, I bought her 11 months ago now, she was for sale as a proven female, she was a little over 6' when I got her, now she is 7'6" and still growing fairly fast, she will take small rabbits when I can get them but if not she has 2 jumbo rats, every 2-3 weeks. The good news is my local specialist found me a male, only 50cm long, but he will grow, the best bit is, as he's a freind he has done it all at cost for me, it will be arriveing next tues/wed with any luck I will get some pics up. ;D

hI,
 I feed my  male and female Guyana most of the time the exact same amount of food and the female is growing at an alarming rate, the males head is getting  bigger but he not growing as fast as the female he actually looks considerably smaller.
 this may be normal for Guyana, Just thought I'lld mention it.  Mine are eating Jumbo rats every 2 -3 weeks sometimes longer. Your gonna need a big cage.. hehe :
