Depends on who you ask... If your boa has a latter back look.. That is no breaks in the saddles.. Then yes.. But if there are thin saddles then you have a ladder back... I don't know if there is a true circle back or not.. Corn snakes have them they are round as they could be... If you ask me circle back is a improper use of term's... More of a oval back... But I am not a breeder or by any means a player in the reptile world so my opion kinda means nothing...

This is probably the hardest morph to define in the boa world. It is really mostly opinion right now. I have seen people call boas circlebacks that have only a few circles. I have also seen many boas with almost all circles sold as regular boas. Its really your call. Also, from that pic its hard to tell. There is a lot of glare on the boa, so its hard to say. IMO that is a circleback.
Just have a quick question about the colors of the above posted pic, are all normal bci boas this color when they are young? Most pics I have seen on this sight seem to be a very dark grey like the on above yet my bci has never been that dark! Not even really close. She started of as a very, very light grey. Wish I had a pic! Sorry to be a nusiance but I am new to boas, really only dealt with ball and kings in the past and I am trying to learn as much as possible for the benifit of my boa.
the place i bought my snake from had bought the whole litter from the breeder and the snake i purchased was the darkest one. the lighter ones usually sell the quickest for him he said. i picked her because she had alot of orange on her belly and on her head, and of course i thought she was cute !!!! i read in a book somewhere that they can get lighter with age and im hoping her orange color will eventually show more.
Some boas do get lighter with age also darker it just depends on the boa's makeup. ie.... pastel's tend to stay light were a normal will most of the time get darker.
well im so excited shes going to have her first shed , well since ive had her, shes starting to get cloudy yes and getting duller in color i cant wait to see what she looks like after!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know if you know but if you raise the humidity in the cage to around 70% your snake will shed better....

P.s. a perfect shed should look like a rolled up condum....
lol yeah i knew that big big boa used to have perfect shed till she got sick, kinda cool when they are finished though . i used to save them and unroll em. till hubby told me ok thats enough stop LOL
Enlarged it in a phto program hehe. This snake I would refer to as a Circle-backed Boa myself. It has circles..not ovals..cept for one that is almost a circle.. the 13th one from the head...which almost looks like a heart pattern between the saddles might come about as the snake grows. ;D
So YES.. Circlebacked I would say.
