    What I have seen in regards to genetic striping vs aberrent striping, is that Genetic striping will tend to be a solid and clearly defined stripe, and that the opposite of the pattern, in this case the side of the boa, will also show a solid and clearly defined stripe. Also (obviously) the other striped siblings will have very very similar patterns. Genetic striping is also very consistent in pattern through each generation.

    Abberent striping (temperature affected) will not show a consistent striping pattern at all. Each offspring will tend to show completely different patterns, and what striping patterns to do have are most often very inconsistent with no ryhme or reason to a pattern.

    Is that definately a genetic stripe?!, or could it possibly be a temp fluctuation during gestation.
