Re: Listen to this big guy..
Look at the bright side, it's a golden opportunity to check inside your snake's mouth for any issues (other than noise abatement, LOL).
He may SOUND "evil" but really he is just saying "I vant to be alone!" It's not as if he is lunging at you & trying to bite....he's really not all that "cranky".

Re: Listen to this big guy..
It's just that snakes in shed feel more vulnerable & defensive...it's not "evil" when we understand that. Infrequently, the big BCI I used to have would do a similar "hissy fit" & for no apparent reason. I found I could
calm her down with a little patience...she never turned to strike, even though she sounded VERY scary. I knew her to be a total "sweetheart", despite occasional hisses to the contrary. Because we don't want to get
tagged, this behavior comes across as 'scary' but it's truly just self-defense...they're telling us they're afraid & need more information to calm down.

I have a couple that are hissy like that. I also view it as a golden opportunity to check inside the mouth. Cool video.http://berkeleyknebel.wix.com/mississippimorphs
