Ok i was hoping to pair these guys but it dawned on me what would i actually get out of them? I really need a genetics for dummys book!

Ok you have to remember that Pastel is not an actually gene just a trait so you would get.....

25% Salmon Novas
25% Novas
25% Salmons
25% Normals

With some showing Pastel traits and some not but if its a TRUE salmon pastel then approx half should show pastel traits so you could end up with approx 12.5% of your goal which im assuming is Pastel Salmon Novas

So the Novas are now considered a Dominant mutation ?

The Novas so far are reproducing in a dominant or co-dominant mutation. More breeding trials will be done to see if in fact they are one, the other or neither. Clearly genetic, the exact label has yet to be proven 100%.
