Question about albino genes

Hi All - I was wondering what you would get (actually or theoretically) if you crossed the T+ albino gene (lets say Nicaraguan in this case) with either a Sharp or Kahl strain albino? Obviously, I mean if both Dam and Sire carried both the T+ albino and the Kahl or Sharp albino genes.

From what I understand if you were to breed a visual Sharp with a visual Kahl, you would theoretically get babies that are both het Kahl and Sharp (I could be wrong, please someone correct me if so). That type of pairing is generally frowned upon in the breeding community.

That's not what I was referring to (mixing Kahl and Sharp strains). Here's an example to clarify using the Sharp line albino: what would come of a pairing involving a male T+ Nic het Sharp albino with a female Sharp albino het T+ Nic?

1st off , the Kahl is highly thought to be a T- Albino , but the Sharp Strain is generally thought to be a T+ , because of how it blends with the BWC ,and with the Prodigy (which may very well be the same morph as the BWC) to make a new looking morph combo .

I think a male T+ Nic het Sharp (or Kahl) albino bred with a female Sharp (or Kahl) albino het T+ Nic - would still look like the Kahl/Sharp, because they take away any of the dark pigment that the Nic T+ would offer. This was done a few years back , when Basically Boas was breeding DH Kahl/BWC's together - they looked like standard Albinos for the most part.

Unfortunately, this belief is incorrect. Kahl albino may be Tyrosinase negative and Sharp T+, or Kahl albino may be T- and Sharp T+, or both Sharp and Kahl may be T+. Nobody has done the necessary testing to figure it out.

I agree that their aren't proper tests yet -- that's the reason that I said "generally thought". Their are no facts yet. I still think that the outcome of visual breedings with T+ Nics would be the same, unless a "Paradigm-Type" look popped up.

I believe Josh from Jeremy Stone Reptiles did this exact pairing successfully . . . .he created a visual Kahl / VPI T Albino
a Boa that was visual for both . .looked like a Kahl Albino mostly . .there was a slight eye variation when it was young
if I remember correctly . . . . .
