  • question about TH for moonglow

I found a triple het for moonglow boa. the breeder says the snake was produced from breeding a Orangasm Ghost (produced by Frank Martin) X Super Sandstone Sunglow het Anery (produced by Buddy Young). Woulod this pairing produce a this produce Poss. Super Salmon TH Moonglow?

Re: question about TH for moonglow

I have no idea what "orangasm" or "super sandstone" refer to, other than breeders labeling specific bloodlines. I'm going to treat this pairing as a ghost x sunglow het. anery. If that is incorrect (does "super sandstone" really mean super hypo?) someone should educate me.

Yes, a possible super hypo het. albino het. anery (TH Moonglow) could definitely result from that pairing. The full breakdown of all possible genetic combinations would be as follows (unless I messed up a punnett square somewhere):

1/3 possible super ghost het. albino
    1/6 anery het. albino
1/3 possible super hypo het. anery het albino (Possible super TH moonglow) <-- this is your baby
1/6 normal het. albino het. anery (DH snow)
---> There is a 33% chance of any possible super animal proving out as super. (sorry, my bad. this is what i get for multiplying fractions in my head at 1 in the morning.)

If "super sandstone" means super hypo, the litter breakdown becomes the following:

1/2 possible super ghost het. albino
1/2 possible super hypo het. albino het. anery (Possible super TH moonglow)
--> there is now a 50% genetic chance of an animal proving out as a super.
