  • feeding break?

    i just found out today that my grandmother in nevada died a few days ago, and i have to fly out there for the funeral. i just fed my boa but i'll be gone for a week (starting tuesday morning) so should i feed her again monday night, or would she be ok if i waited till i got back? thats eight days total without a meal. thx.peace.

    yea it will be ok..boa's can go months w/ out eatting.but skipping a meal wont hurt your snake.but you should make sure you have extra water. all you would be doing is feeding her a few days later.

      As long as your boa is healthy, missing a meal or two will not do any harm. It would be nice if you had someone to change the water though.

        yeah, my room mate will change the water and check the temps and make sure everythings ok, maybe even take him out and handle him once or twice, but i know she won't feed her. she said it would just creep her out to watch her eat. thx for the help

          That is good advice folks.. Okay to miss a meal if necessary. More important to have someone check the water and temperatures.

          Sorry about your grandmother.

          My grandmother, "Granny" was definately an angel that flew too close to the ground, and we were lucky enough to have her in the family for 90 years. I miss here everyday.
