ok, i'm not sure if this is a problem or not, so i figured i'd ask. right now there is a hot spot in the hot end, it's reading 91 degrees on the floor. the hotspot is just big enough for halo to coil up in. the temps in the areas surounding the hot spot are varied, they range anywhere from 84 to 87. the cool side is at an even 82. is this a problem. or is that one hot spot enough. or do i have a problem

Re:hot spot
yeah, i was told 90-91 is ok on the hot side. but the problem lies in the fact that there is only on small area of the hot side that the temp is that high, the rest of the area on the hot side is in between 84 and 87. it's like the heat pad is only heating the middle of the floor on that side, but the rest of the hot side is'nt getting that much heat. so is it ok for that to happen, or does the whole hot side have to be the same. sorry if that sounds confusing, i don't really know how else to explain it.

Re:hot spot
no it is ok but it would be better if you could make it a lil' bigger or somthing... This is what I would try... if you have a screen top then try to put a towl over the hot side of the cage... this may help increase the ambient temp.'s in the warm side... Other then that there is another way to do it and it involves putting a bottomless hide box over the heat sorce but you have to be careful... If you do this I would make sure to do it when you will be around to watch the temps... you may need to move it off the hot spot some or put it on some more... I hope this help.s...
