i went and bought two large rats for my surinam and two fuzzies for my baby columbian the other day...and i forgot to take them outta the car when i got home, so they were outside in the car for about 8 or 9 hours. i realized my error the next morn, so i went and retrieved them and put them in the freezer. i was wondering if those rats are still useable or should i go purchase different ones. i certainly would'nt want to make my boas sick! thx for any help. peace

      Hey StarBomb,

One thing you didn't mention was were they alive, if so and they were still alive the next morning you are fine. If they were fresh killed or frozen thawed, ditch them, better safe then sorry..

I agree, better to be safe than sorry. Replace them with fresh ones.

              HI,
If you have the freezer room you should buy your rats from Cajun or rodent pro you'll save a ton of money if you buy 6 mos worth at a time.
They usally are healthier rats ..
My jumbo's are around 1.85 each when I buy 6 mos worth for my Guyana's and hog's..

I second Doug, I buy my rat fuzzies from www.Cajunmice.com , and I will never buy from anybody else. They are GREAT to do business with, and there mice are soooooooo healthy looking!

I've only used Rodentpro and have nothing but good things to say about them. Never tried Cajun Mice, though I hope to try them soon.
