what to clean you boa with?

I usually use warm water with a soft cloth. Is there something else that I can use. Something around the house, that is obviously not harmful? Sometimes after feeding he will stink a liitle or he might rub next to his waste. thank you

they should soak and clean themselves! how often do u clean ur cage? just wondering cuz u say that they rub into their waste. i clean mine everyday spot clean to get the poo out if any and change water. i do not scrub my snakes with anything i let them soak and soak them before every feed

Hello Scottysrm,

First welcome to the forums...

As for cleaning, they don't need more then a soak once in awhile..

If they do get some fecal matter on them, or get an odd smell. I use Novansn soulution diluted. I also clean the cage with it monthly. It disenfects almost every type of bateria including saminila. I also clean the snakes down with it before bringing them into the school. Just an extra measure to insure no one gets sick...

But general cleaning could be bad, it could dry out their skin..

Like steve and lee said, just soak him. Thats what ZI do, I just let my girl soak for an hour. Thats good enought to clean em and the good part about soaking is your snake has mites, that's one of the best ways to find out. Hope we were a help to you. ;D 8)
