Boas dont shed every week. Mine shed maybe every other month....It depends on how much you feed it also if you power feed it then it should shed quicker, but i dont recomend power feeding any boas. You should have a decent humidity level also. 65-75% ....If you feed it right then eventualy it'll shed.

??? Need to get alittle more info on your boa,, has it gone thru the blue , are its eyes still cloudy or has that cleared up?? Hows your humidity?? Has the boa been able to soak at all? Whats your cage set up like? Some of these things will help us get a better idea of whats going on with your boa....

My cage setup is it has a stick in there to climb, a hiding spot, a water bowl with heat above water bowl. On the other side i soak a towel and put it on top to keep humidity in. the average temp is 70 degrees. the humidity is 35%. The snake already went throught the blue eyes stage now he is on his normal eye color. This will be the 7th day. He hasn't ate in 2 weeks b/c of this shedding period. The boa hasn't been soaked, but i spray him will hot water 3 times a day.

what kind of substrate are you using? different substrates hold moisture in better than others. on a side note, an average temp of 70 is kind of low.

What does your humidity get up to when you spray and have the towl over the cage... If it does not rais much then you may have a messed up guage get a good one... the digital ones are the most accurate...
Other then that There is no way the humidity is low and you spray with a tawl over the top...
And your cage is about 12degrees to low on the cool side what is your hot side/spot...?
You need to read about how to keep your snake... Here is a link... http://www.redtailboas.com/general_c...eral_care.html

If you keep your boa this way for to long... well much longer it will most deffently get some sorta ri or somthing.... I hope this will help you....

I just use newspaper. What do you think is good for holding in humidity and temperature?

The humidity goes up to like 45%. I'm not sure if the gauge is broke. How much are digital temperature/humidity gauges? Also, can you give me a link for the digital temperature gauges b/c i checked and it's like $100. I'm looking for a cheap one.
                      Thanks for help.

here's a link to a great one from big apple herp:http://www.bigappleherp.com/Pages/Product/178105.html
they are great to deal with and you'll get your products in about 5 days. i bought my dual therm/hygrometer from wal-mart for $24. it works fine, but it is only a single probe so it checks moisture from the base unit (meaning you have to stick the whole unit in the cage).
newspaper is really pretty good at holding in moisture. here's what some people do to raise the humidity in their cages using newspaper. read the whole thread though b/c there are pros and cons. http://www.redtailboas.com/cgi-bin/y...num=1044762266

Ya wal-mart is where to go...  They have the cheapest stuff... They have a three display one that is nice... It is not that most of them are broke it is that they are not accurate... I had one that always was like 30% off high or low... it really sucked... Zoo med was the name brand on it...
                          Good luck..

Do you guys think i should feed my boa because it has been 2 weeks since his last feeding? Also which would be better for a 3 feet RTB 2 large mice or 1 small rat?
                            Thanks for the Help.

I have found that my girl will eat after she clears the blue stage
i usally try to wait out the full shed but sometimes the way the cycle falls it puts the feeds out to far. she will not even attempt feeding when her eyes are not clear unlike like my corn who doesnt care and is a voracious eater but once she is clear again in the eyes even though she hasnt shed yet she will generally eat.
