I thought i had read somewhere to leave the new arrives alone for 2 weeks once they arrive, but i could be wrong. How long should i wait untill i start handling the new arrival, and same for feeding. Or if someone can direct me to the link, im almost postive i read it somewhere on the site but i cant for the likes of me fine it again.

Re: new boa arrived on tuesday, how long till hand
I am one who usually takes the individual snake into consideration when it comes to this sort of stuff for them. If the snake does not seem to be timid/strikey/stressed etc at all....I'll go ahead and handle em the day i get em in. If the snake is like any of the above, then I give them whatever time it is they seem to be needing. Most will tell you to leave the snake alone to allow it to acclimate for anywhere from a week till 3 weeks. Your gonna get different opinions on a time frame from different people
The basic time frame that most go by is about a week's time.
I also do the same with the feeding and when I offer prey to a new snake. I have offered prey to new ones here the day after they arrive, but I have also waited for like a week on most of them before offering prey to most that come in here.
Basically...go with what the individual snakes "sends off in a signal to you" ...That's the best way to go about it. Doesn't hurt to have a guideline though at all either.

Im probably going to give him a few more days, he is very very curious about me but still uncertain. He will always peak out and check me out, and ill slow approach the cage to get a look and he will slowlg go back into its hide box. Of course he is very active at nite.
