I know you guys and gals here this all the time but I am ordering from the rat factory and am not quite sure if I should get fuzzy rats or pups. My boa is about 24 inches, there are pictures of her in the picture forum. I don't want to spend 40 something dollers and get rats that are to small, and waste all that mula. I have never feed her rats cause the only pet stores around here sell mice, so I really dont know how big a fuzzy or pup is. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

ohh forgot, she has been feeding on fuzzy mice, but the fuzzy rats look a little small. -

Sorry, BUT I am not familiar with the sizing order of the place your looking to order from. Do they have pics of what they are calling each level on their site at all ? Problem is that many people refer to the same sized rodent in a different manner a lot.
I call my newborn rats here pups..lol. See what I mean ? heheComment

yea they do have pictures, I think I am going to go with fuzzy's cause if there a little small it wont hurt the snake. If I get some to big than its a problem. Also what is the best way to keep the frozen rats fresh and not freezer burned after you open the bag?Comment

I ordered 25 rat pups for my snake fromwww.cajunmice.com when he was abot that size. That was in Nov. At first I tought they were to big but he ate them just fine and now he is over 30" with a 7 day fedding.
As for storeing. I put my rat in a tuperwear bowel and date it so I know how long they have been in there. I am still on the first 25 pack. So they keep for a whikle like that to. Let us know what you decid.

Fuzzy rats or fuzzy mice?
For a 24" boa fuzzy mice are most likely going to be too small.
Fuzzy rats should probably be ok though.Comment
