My boa's enclosure keeps humidity pretty easily and it is generally sitting around 80%. There are times when it can even shoot higher nearing 90%. His temps on the other hand are perfect. Right now my boa is a little over a year old. I've had him for about 2 1/2 months. He has been very healthy and I see no signs of the humidity causing any issues, but I would like to make sure that he stays healthy!
What negative effects could that type of humidity have on my boa?
Any suggestions as to lower the humidity a bit? It is a glass enclosure (I'm looking to purchase a boaphile in the future, but will have to hold off on that for a little longer). The top of the enclosure is also glass and it is not one of those screen tops, thus keeping the humidity in very easily. There is a vent type opening at the top of the back for oxygen.
