  • What A Lump!

Last night i fed my red tail 2 pinky rats like I usually do every sunday night.I come to find this morning that there is a huge lump in her belly. It looks as if both the rats combined together in her belly. It quite a large bulge.I know your only supposed to feed prey that is the width of the snake, which I always do.But this lump is very large.Should I be this concerned? Is there something I should do?

Those muscles work just like a trash compactor. ;D

Boas eat food items that are too big for them in the wild all the time. I think the only danger would be if the temps are not just right, there is a greater chance for regurgitation.

If the temps are right on, and the boa has no other problems, should be just fine. Also the lump should spread out over the next couple of days.
