    Re: DAY/NIGHT????

i think the day/night lights are a pain in the rear. they really dont last very long and will get expensive. you best bet is to switch over to a ceramic heat emitter. these heating devices do not give off any light and will last you forever. they do cost anywhere between $25-$50 but will save you money in the long run. i have personally switched over to CHE's in all my cages and i use fluorescent fixtures for lighting.

      Re: DAY/NIGHT????

I currently use the night bulbs but as soon as the ones I am using burn out I am switching to CHE's myself. I have had some that are bad from the store. Using a CHE is also good because if there is a reasonable amount of natural light in the room you don't need a light in the day either. Just maintain consistent temps and let nature do the rest. The constant heat source also makes it easier to maintain consistent humidity.
