  • Shedding and Feeding ???

My Boa has just started the shedding cycle, he is 2 months old His eyes are just turning blue and he has been hiding out the past few days. I saw him out today and his eyes were blue. This is about the time I WAS going to feed him, but now due to the shedding should I wait until he is done shedding? I know this is another time you should not handle your boa either, Correct? Thanks

    Re: Shedding and Feeding ???

during a shed cycle your boa will not want to be bothered by handling or feeding. once the shed cycle is complete then you will be able to feed and handle your boa.

        Yes,

The thing to watch for is that the boa's eyes will clear and the body will "almost" return to it's original coloring. Then about 2 days later the boa will shed.

Try avoiding feeding and handling during this time. It is stressful enough for them as it is.
