I will add these to the first post as I recieve them with HIGH recommendations of actual purchases. That way we keep a good list, yes, but a reliable company list as well.

Also if people want to recommend companies for flexwatt, please send me the actual link from thier FLEXWATT page, so I don't have to do the research for the link. thanks

Yes, but Matt is not dealing in flexwatt anymore. I recently emailed him about some and he told me that he wasn't selling it anymore. I'm not sure why though.

Yeah, I went there and noticed that his prices went up and then everything was out of stock.

            Wha' happened?

            BTW

Thanks Clay, for putting up the links.
I had always gone through MG and needed a back up provider.

Re: Flexwatt. Where to Buy. How to Install

The above order was placed with The Bean Farm which was cheaper on the Flex, not alot but still a little cheaper than Big Apple. I got the tracking number for 3 day air that afternoon and 3 days later I had my order and a Refigerator Magnet to Boot. First order I would have to give them a 10

can any of this come pre-wired after you give them your lengths? im thinking about getting this stuff but dont want to wire it cuz i dont have the crimpers and dont want to get them just for one use

Re: Flexwatt. Where to Buy. How to Install

No one that I know of is going to prewire it for you; but you don't "have" to have the special crimpers to wire it. Channel locks will work. You could also solder instead of using clips.

Re: Flexwatt. Where to Buy. How to Install

so i'm real new to all this, but i'm going to be building a cage and need to figure out what exactly i'll need for heating. i'd like to go with flexwatt, and have a friend who can wire it for me, i just need to know how much of it i will need and what all the pieces are. i want to run it through a tstat, too. it will be a 4x2x1.5' cage. if i'm on the wrong thread, my apologies...

I would go with 11" FlexWatt and if you buy the wire/clips/insulator set most places will wire it for free. Here's the place I get all my supplies.
Reptile Basics is a leading retail and wholesale supplier of hard to find reptile supplies and caging.

You can also go with an UltraTherm UTH...very safe...very low watt.

Thats what I use. Its basicly flexwatt sealed in plastic with power cord already attached. Its easy, cheap, and works great. I would still use a t-stat tho.
