[Feeding Issue] My baby female red tail boa isn't eating and i don't know why.

My baby female red tail boa isn't eating, and i obviously don't know why. I have checked every orifice, vent, eyes, nostrils and inside the mouth, they are all as healthy as a horse, or a snake. I have not had any other health or feeding problems with her before this. This could be just a normal thing where snakes just go off food for a little while, but I don't know I'm not an expert. Any and all help is appreciated.

Have you checked to make sure the temperatures in her enclosure are ok? They stop eating if they get too cold because they can't digest the meal.

[MENTION=21760]ClassyHerps[/MENTION] Please give us a little more info on this guy so we can give you the best advice possible, the more info the better. What you are keeping her in, temps, humidity, how long you have had her, if caging, temps humidity have changed. Has handling increased, anything environmentally changed, a move, cage location, noise level etc. How long she has been off feed, last shed, last defecation etc. I have kept boas for long time and have seen very few healthy boas kept in the right conditions that go off feed for no reason, especially a healthy baby. Boas are definitely not known for being picky or finicky snakes, anything is possible but definitely not the norm for these guys and usually you have to worry about them wanting too much food. If you can give us a list of all of these things and I am sure we can get it figured out or definitely get you pointed in the right direction!

I used the paper bag method last night. Worked perfectly I guess because she ate the f/t mouse. I found the info on this webpage. You may want to search for the thread. Good luck.
