It may not be cost effective, I understand that, but I raise rabbits for meat anyways, and I have only one boa at the moment. Can a neonate take a day old rabbit pink? For when I breed later on down the road I'd kinda like to know. I figure I'll never have the trouble of switching from mice to rats to rabbits. Or at least rats to rabbits. Just curious as if anyone's done this before? Thanks!

Re: Feeding rabbits throughout life?
Rabbits aren't really a viable food source for boas until the boa is an adult, and then a pretty large adult at that. Pick rabbits are too big for neonate boas, and yearlings and sub-adults need more complete muscle mass and bone than very young rabbits can provide vs. adult rats. By the time a rabbit matures enough, it's too big to feed to most boas. Most people never end up feeding rabbits at all. But since you already have them, it would make sense for you to do so down the line.

Once mine get onto medium rats I alternate feedings with rabbits of the same weight.
