Hello friends,
I adopted, rescued to be proper, an adult RT about 4 months ago. He/she has had no issues with eating, is mostly okay with being handled, and husbandry is good. However, he/she began a shed last week and it has now been almost five days since his eyes cleared and he hasn't shed yet. I have not seen it take this long since "clearing" before, so I'm a little concerned.
His/her demeanor seems to have changed since the eyes cleared. He's been coiled up on the warm side, head buried for two straight days now. Usually he moves around throughout the day, often soaking and he/she has done none of that for a few days now.
The only thing I can figure is that the humidity isn't high enough. I live in Colorado so it's a major struggle to keep it in the 35-45% range. But, there's a big container of water in there and he/she soaks often. Or at least did before this. Any ideas?
I forgot to add that he/she has had one healthy shed since I got him.
