okay, I was not sure where to post this, but it relates to snake care.
I created a group on facebook called Research, Login | Facebook. not sure if they link will work. It's under common interest- pets and animals. Anyway I am trying to put together this group that educates others about doing research before buying animals. I thought of it after seeing that post of the dying ball python who was fed too large of a prey item. It was so sad, but could have been avoided through proper research.

That BP died of a lot more than eating a prey item that was too large. The snake had one or more shed skins stuck on it, was very dehydrated, and probably laid in his own filth. He would've easily been able to handle that size prey if he had been properly cared for to begin with. Now that I'm done venting again, I think this group is a great idea. The biggest problem with pet owners is they don't do research before buying. I've seen way too many kids walking out of the reptile shows with a burm/retic/boa that their parents probably aren't expecting to get 10 feet long. It's sad when you see how many 8-10ft+ snakes are up for adoption on Craigs list.

Yay thank you! I have to find a pic at some point. I'm trying to think of ways we can actually get info out there and make some sort of impact.

I joined!! Thank You! I know someone who the first snake died and the second got out and was never found and it drives me crazy they don't even care just keep buying another one. Like its not there fault
